Marta Valentin LMT
I am from a beautiful coastal town of Honduras. I came to the states as a child with my family. We traveled around the Unites States and I found the Pacific Northwest my forever home!
I am proud Veteran of the Unites States Navy, I served from 1996-2004 as a Damage Controlman on the USS Rushmore. After my decision to move forward from the US Navy, I attended Massage School at Ashmead College in Everett, WA in 2005. My Intuition was calling me to become a Healer.
I have a love for Holistic health and wellness through body work and the body"s energetic system. I believe the body, mind and spirit connection plays a big part in creating pathways for the body to be at ease. To be out of ease creates a domino effect in all aspects of life which then cause the body to get out of balance.
Since I was a child, I had a natural interest and curiosity in how the body works and the human condition and I always wanted to find ways to ease suffering for those in pain. As an adult I found that Massage therapy and bodywork allows me a chance to be in a centered place to provide a way for that calling to unfold.
I became a Bodyworker because I enjoy integrating a vast array of modalities and energy work to help the body reconnect and ground to itself. I see it as a way for the body to open pathways for natural healing to take place.
When you come to me for treatment, whether it be fatigue, stress, chronic pain or injury, I listen to your concerns, goals and what your body is telling me. I then create a treatment plan to assist in activating your body with various techniques to treat the area and surrounding muscle groups and get you on the road to feeling better. You will experience relief and a sense of lightness, therefore increasing the way for your body to reintegrate unto itself and remember its purpose and true function.
As a therapist with many years of experience you will come to know me as a warm, caring and compassionate therapist. I have come to learn that everybody is unique and everyone has their own life story. My style of therapy is a combined fusion of heart to hand healing sessions, from Swedish, Lomi Lomi, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy and Myofascial Release. Every massage treatment will be different according to the need of each client. I believe massage therapy is a collaboration between therapist and client to help bring relief and ease for overall wellness.
When I am not providing a nurturing massage, I love to spend time with my family, hiking, going to the beach and exploring the Pacific Northwest. Spending time in nature is also very important to me as it is a great source of healing and renewal for my body and soul. Developing my spirituality is very important to me and practicing meditation and prayer helps me ground myself and lead a life of intention, authenticity, and peace so that in my daily life I am able to be present in all aspects of life.
I am excited and look forward to finish my certification In Cranio Sacral Therapy the Fall of 2021. With more modalities on the horizon, working together to bring you closer to your healing journey in health and wellness.
